For car enthusiasts, few models inspire awe like a classic Ford Thunderbird. When the time came to choose the right name for his new Amazon parrot, bird dad and Nationwide pet insurance member William A. opted for a classic nod to the rides of the ‘50s. The results were cool—and pretty wacky.
“Tbird was originally named Thunder by the original owners,” William says. “I did not care for the name, so decided to go with TBird—as a shortened version of Thunderbird—as a tribute to both his original name and the car.”
Care and maintenance can be expensive for a classic car. The same is true for exotic pets, which is why William opted to protect Tbird with Nationwide pet insurance. “There is nothing sadder than having a bad or no option when your pet gets ill, because you cannot afford to go to a veterinarian due to costs. This insurance plan helps with peace of mind if something happens.”
