When searching for the perfect pet name, many families shoot for the stars. Others seek a galaxy far, far away—like this intergalactic corn snake with a wacky Jedi-inspired name.
“As huge Star Wars fans, we got married on May the 4th, and he was a gift on my husband and my wedding registry,” says Jay W., snake parent and Nationwide pet insurance member. “We named Obi-Wan Cornobi after the iconic Jedi master, Obi-Wan Kenobi.”
Like his namesake, Cornobi doesn’t flinch when facing down the Dark Side. “Cornobi has no sense of danger,” Jay says. “Our cats will hop up on top of his terrarium, and he will climb up as high as he can to meet them. He thinks they're playmates, not predators!” And much like the original Obi-Wan, Cornobi is protected by the force. Jay adds, “Don't worry, he's safe! They couldn't get to him if they tried.”
But Jay doesn’t just rely on the force to protect Cornobi. “We are so grateful that Nationwide provides exotic pet insurance! The health of Obi-Wan Cornobi is a big priority for my husband and I.”
