Pet naming, like the best things in life, is all about balance. Bird buddy and Nationwide pet insurance member Elham G. understood this when it came time to name their green cheeked conure.
“I wanted a cute name. I chose Mochi, because she's soft, colorful, and sweet—like the Japanese dessert,” Elham says. “My partner wanted a serious military title. Since her expertise is creating chaos, he titled her as Captain of Chaos. It’s the perfect balance of cute and catastrophic.
Mochi is very connected to her loving family, to the degree where she gets upset when Elham is out of sight. However, finding that balance again is easy, if not a little wacky. Elham says, “If I’m in another room, I’ll leave one foot sticking out into the hallway—and as long as she can see my toes, she’s perfectly calm.”
