The food court in a ‘90s mall was a wonderland of options. Where else could you get chicken teriyaki and a corndog on the same tray? For one pet parent, combining the flavorful citrus beverage of a mall classic alongside crisp romaine lettuce and the Roman Empire created a perfect plating of wacky inspiration.
“We have always liked weird pet names,” says Steven S., cat dad and Nationwide pet insurance member. “When we first got Jules, I would call him ‘Orange.’ I thought of names I could keep Orange in—it started off as Orange Julius, then evolved to Orange Julius Ceasar Salad.”
Much like the conqueror of Gaul, Jules is always pushing boundaries in wacky ways. Steven says, “He is the reason we have to keep child locks on the cabinet with their food and treats, because he has broken in multiple times.”
When it comes to protecting his wacky cat from the unexpected, Steven opted to try something new. “We have Nationwide offered through work and I have never had pet insurance before, so decided to try it out.”
