The Exotic cat (also called the Exotic shorthair by some cat associations) is a cross between Persians and American shorthairs. The Cat Fanciers’ Association, the world’s largest registry of pedigreed cats, lists the Exotic cat as the most popular cat breed based on their 2016 registration statistics, the second year in a row during the association's history in which the breed took the top spot.
